May Roundup: The Miles you Don't See
A monthly blend of brand-building lessons, creative pivots, and the real-life rhythms behind running The Launch Box.
Theme of the Month: Endurance 🏃🏻♀️➡️
If March was renewal and April was intermission, May was pure endurance—equal parts grit, patience, and a steady drumbeat of "keep going." Sometimes that’s the job: staying in it when the energy isn’t electric and the momentum stalls, but the work still matters.
TL;DR
In Case You Missed It: Substack branding deep dives, a fresh case study, and new pieces of the SBS puzzle. 👩🏻🏫
Coming Soon: The SBS Beta cohort kicks off June 7 — last chance to join. 📆
Creative Inputs: Substack binge, astrology deep dives, and a very personal empath awakening. 👩🏻🎨
Off the Clock: Sunday Supper graduation style, surprise tennis wipeouts, and a healthcare detour that tested my patience. 👨🏻🎓

In Case You Missed It: May Posts
Even though May felt like one long game of behind-the-scenes whack-a-mole, I still managed to ship a few key pieces that kept the bigger picture (The Substack Brand System, aka SBS) moving forward. And, these weren’t just box-checking posts—each one layered another brick onto the foundation I'm building to help founders stop winging it and start dialing it in:
Why Your Substack Needs a Brand, Not Just a Voice: A deep dive on why voice alone won't sustain growth—your brand architecture matters. Catch up here.
The Substack Brand System (Program Overview): The full walkthrough of my 3-step system to turn your Substack into a destination. Catch up here.
The Substack Brand System Case Study — Reframing Perspectives: A behind-the-scenes look at how I helped Dr. Payal Beri set the stage for a standout Substack. Catch up here.
Wherever you are in your own Substack journey—thinking, building, or refining—May’s posts will help you see your brand through a sharper lens.
What’s Coming Next: Beta Cohort Launches June 7
The big headline: The Substack Brand System Beta kicks off June 7!
There are still a few spots left, and I’m thrilled about this small group format—it’s got all the goods: live coaching, hands-on brand development, and real-time feedback. If you want in, shoot me a message before Saturday to claim your spot.

Creative Inputs: The Threads I’ve Been Pulling On
May's deep dive into Substack introduced me to a whole new layer of creators, covering everything from astrology and spirituality to Ayurveda, AI, creativity, and cooking. My reading queue? Officially overflowing. If you're looking for a little inspiration (or distraction), now is a great time to explore just how expansive the Substack ecosystem really is. (Yes, I know you are well aware of this fact, but I felt compelled to say it anyway. My cup has literally runneth over as of late.)
Outside of the Substack rabbit hole, I found myself leaning into the woo a bit more than usual. The Chani app has become my weekly astrology checkpoint—equal parts cosmic truth bomb and oddly grounding ritual. And in what I'm calling my "empathic coming out party," I finally picked up The Empath’s Survival Guide on Audible. I’ll spare you the full backstory, but let’s just say: it's connecting a lot of dots I didn't even realize needed connecting.
Off the Clock: The Life Behind the Launch
Even during slower seasons, life doesn’t fully pause. A few personal highlights this month:
I threw a cozy Sunday Supper to wrap up a long weekend of graduation celebrations in honor of my nephew—good company, zero phones, and pure comfort food (thank you to the graduate for the menu selections: Chicken Marsala + mashed potatoes for the win).
A few spontaneous nights out with friends at the end of the month reminded me that joy often shows up when you’re not planning for it.
Less fun: A surprise tennis fall (it’s not actually all that surprising if you know me) and a preventative doctor visit left me feeling more like a case file than a human—and, for a few hours, unable to drive. If you’ve ever felt steamrolled by the healthcare system, solidarity.
Wrap-Up: Endurance is the Work
May reaffirmed something simple but profound: the middle matters. The stretches where you’re building, refining, and prepping—even when it feels invisible—are setting the stage for what comes next.
June is all about launching the beta cohort, helping others find their Substack "marketing zwagger," and continuing to practice what I preach: steady, strategic brand building.
If you’ve been in an endurance season too, I see you. Drop me a comment or DM—I’d love to swap notes.
Thanks for sticking with me through the sprints and the slogs.
